To start with, we will see what is happening is the world of geopolitics. It would be an understatement to say that the old order is changing radically. What is happening in this author's opinion is that the old order is failing. As can be seen on many pages at OEOC, earth is facing a monumental survival challenge. Greenland is currently experiencing a diplomatic crisis due to U.S. President Trump's push to annex it, alongside significant internal developments towards greater autonomy and independence from Denmark, and increasing environmental concerns like massive landslides linked to climate change. Recent events include Greenlanders protesting potential U.S. control, unveiling a draft constitution for a republic, and the Demokraatik party winning elections to advance gradual independence. Concurrently, major landslides in fjords highlight the impact of a warming world on the ice sheet.

Denial is a powerful psychological defense mechanism that allows individuals to reject reality, even in the face of overwhelming scientific evidence. Among the most pressing issues cloaked in denial today are climate change and the nuclear threat. We have become normalized to a very dangerous way of thinking and acting. A massive collective shift in thinking will be needed now if we wish to survive.
